This is part two of the Xenomorph 1642 experiment. Some interesting things were revealed. Be sure to share your thoughts in the comments!

Setting

It’s 1642, deep in the Black Forest during the Thirty Years’ War. A small Imperial detachment of 33 soldiers from a larger army has been dispatched to investigate reports of “demonic creatures” slaughtering villagers in the region. The soldiers, a mix of pikemen and arquebusiers, are led by Captain Heinrich von Sturm, a grizzled cavalry officer. They’ve set up camp in a clearing near a ruined chapel, surrounded by dense woods and rocky outcrops. Unbeknownst to them, a small hive of Xenomorphs—brought to Earth through a mysterious rift—has been stalking the area, preying on anything that moves. The forest is dark, misty, and eerily silent, save for the occasional snap of a twig or a distant, unnatural hiss.

Due to life being life the game was recorded in two installments. Turns 1 & 2 can be seen here:

Scenario 2: "Through the Rift:
The Hive's Heart"

Following the desperate victory in the Black Forest, the Imperial Detachment uncovers the origin of the Xenomorphs: a shimmering rift in the forest near the chapel, pulsing with an otherworldly energy. Captain Heinrich von Sturm reports the discovery to his superiors, and the Holy Roman Empire assembles a larger force of 2,000 soldiers to penetrate the rift and eradicate the alien threat at its source.

The rift deposits the Imperial army into a cavernous alien hive world, a nightmarish landscape of organic, resin-like structures and jagged terrain. The Xenomorph Queen resides in a semi-fortified nest at the center of the battlefield, surrounded by her hive’s defenses. The air is thick with a toxic haze, and the ground pulses with an unnatural rhythm. The humans must advance through treacherous terrain to reach the Queen and destroy her, while the Xenomorphs fight to protect their hive and slaughter the invaders.

Scenario 3: "The Siege of Von Hagen's Manor"

The Imperial Detachment led by Captain Heinrich von Sturm failed to hold back the Xenomorphs in the Black Forest, and the alien creatures have multiplied, pouring through the mysterious rift in greater numbers. Now, bolstered by additional Standard Warriors, Spitter Warriors, and a Bio-Artillery Creature (Ravager), the Xenomorphs have launched a full-scale assault on Lord Albrecht von Hagen’s fortified manor. The manor is the last bastion of resistance in the region. Lord Albrecht has rallied his forces, including his elite guard of 100 knights, to defend the manor at all costs. However, hope flickers on the horizon—a unit of Imperial cavalry is en route as reinforcements, though their arrival time is uncertain.

The battlefield centers on Lord Albrecht von Hagen’s manor, a fortified stone structure in the Black Forest, surrounded by a moat and accessible only via a drawbridge. The manor’s walls are sturdy, and its battlements are equipped with catapults and ballistae, but the Xenomorphs are relentless, using their speed, stealth, and destructive power to breach the defenses. The surrounding terrain is a mix of open fields, rocky outcrops, and patches of forest, giving the Xenomorphs opportunities to flank and ambush.
