The Killing Fields is meant to be part of a campaign-style adventure game. The combat rules need to be a little more granular than they currently are in order for this to work.
I made a video describing the details:
Wound Resolution Table
VIGOR represents how many Wounds, Cuts and Scratches your character can sustain before being incapacitated.
VIGOR: An attribute of each figure representing its ability to sustain damage. This characteristic is generated by adding the total of 2 dAVG, for a score of 4-10. A figure with a VIGOR of 0 is removed as a casualty.
…
WOUND: An indication that a figure has suffered a hit. In the Killing Fields a Wound reduces your figure’s fighting capability by one step. A figure with a Might of 3 with one Wound will have its Might reduced to 2 and subtract dAVG points from its Vigor characteristic.
The next published iteration of the rule booklet will include this, and additional glossary entries for the new terms.
A video demonstration of the concept is forthcoming.
I look forward to your thoughts and comments!
