I have been very interested in researching and studying how to resolve sieges in miniature wargames for a couple of months now. The primary reason is because I would like to include rules for the sieges of towns and strongholds in the HEXTRAIL Campaign game.
There are quite a few ways to handle these complex gaming situations, ranging from the completely abstract to setting it up to scale on the table and fighting it out with Tactical rules.
Neither of these really appeal to me for the use in the boardgame. So I am looking for something in-between. I’m looking for rules for a miniatures battle, that you can play with Strategic and Tactical rules using miniatures, but abstract enough to accomplish in a half-hour or so.
I thought we could discuss this in the Monthly Discord Chat, on Tuesday 20 December 2022, at 8pm Eastern.
